Dental Assistant w/ X-ray
Job Summary
The Dental Assistant position at ProSmile supports the clinical needs of patients and dentists. Key responsibilities include assisting in patient care, inventory management, and adhering to safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist in patient care.
- Maintain inventory control in the operatories.
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
- Deliver high-quality patient interactions, including scheduling, follow-up treatment, and record keeping.
- Perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Easily able to learn required technologies and systems.
- Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work:
- NJ - Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- MD - Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- Pennsylvania - Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant.
- Experience: 1+ years as a Dental Assistant preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, some flexibility in scheduling, X-ray license required, active CPR certification required.

Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to operate general office equipment, and lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.
