Dental Assistant w/ X-ray

Job Summary

The Dental Assistant position at ProSmile supports the clinical needs of patients and dentists. Key responsibilities include assisting with patient care, inventory management, and adhering to safety protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist in patient care.
• Maintain inventory control in the operatories.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality patient interactions related to scheduling, follow-up treatment, post-surgical information, and record keeping.
• Perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Easily able to learn required technologies and systems.
• Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work:
• NJ - Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required.
• MD - Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required.
• Pennsylvania - Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willing to pursue licensure immediately required.
• Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant.
• Experience: 1+ years as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, some flexibility in scheduling, X-ray license required, active CPR certification required.

Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to operate general office equipment, lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds, and adjust focus. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. The work environment characteristics include low to moderate noise levels, standing, walking, and using hands and arms to operate general office equipment.
