Job Summary
As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will support the clinical needs of our patients and doctors. Duties include patient care, recordkeeping, and appointment scheduling, working under the supervision of dentists and collaborating with dental hygienists.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist in patient care.
- Maintain inventory control in the operatories.
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
- Deliver world-class patient interactions related to scheduling, follow-up treatment, post-surgical information, and record keeping.
- Perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Easily able to learn required technologies and systems.
- Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work:
- NJ: Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- MD: Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- PA: Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
- Certified Dental Assistant preferred.
- 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Some flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
