This hybrid contract opportunity in Dallas, TX is ideal for a hands-on Denodo Developer who enjoys solving complex query performance challenges, creating monitoring solutions, and partnering across technical and functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Denodo base, derived, integration, and summary views
• Write and optimize SQL and VQL queries to support data transformation and integration needs
• Investigate and improve long-running queries in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Create monitoring views and dashboards for the Denodo platform
• Work with business and technical teams to design new virtual data integration solutions
• Document functional and technical details for Denodo solutions in a clear and organized way
• Support troubleshooting efforts related to query performance and data quality issues

Requirements

• 4+ years of SQL experience across OLTP, data warehouse, or big data environments
• 4+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or SQL Developer role
• 2+ years of experience writing medium to complex SQL queries or stored procedures
• 2+ years of hands-on Denodo experience
• Strong understanding of query optimization techniques
• Experience supporting REST and SOAP API data services
• Background in troubleshooting data integrity, quality, and performance issues
• Experience working in agile environments
• Familiarity with Jira and GitLab
• Solid understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling concepts
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed approach

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Ab Initio
• Python development experience
• Exposure to Master Data Management tools
• Experience working with Hadoop or MongoDB
• Postgres and cloud experience
