Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and upkeep of statistical/baseline forecasts utilizing historical sales data, seasonal patterns, and leading indicators.
- Analyze trends, anomalies, and demand fluctuations to boost forecast precision and recognize possible risks or chances.
- Closely collaborate with the Senior Demand Planner to evaluate forecast models, assumptions, and strategic scenarios.
- Contribute to the creation of forecast reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Participate in forecast review meetings (mix meetings) and furnish data-driven insights to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with the Senior Demand Planner to assist in product lifecycle management, including new product introductions, transitions, and phase-outs.
- Partner with business partners (e.g., product category, brand, sales) to acquire market intelligence and planning inputs.
- Persistently enhance forecasting tools, templates, and procedures to boost efficacy and accuracy.
- Maintain planning system data integrity and offer assistance in resolving forecast-related issues.
- Engage in ongoing learning and growth concerning forecasting methodologies, business intelligence tools, and supply chain trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis (internships or co-op experience considered).
- Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting substantial data sets and recognizing trends.
- A meticulous nature with a dedication to accuracy in analyses.
- An eagerness to learn and grow in demand planning and supply chain management.
- The capacity to collaborate effectively in a team setting while also functioning independently.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing numerous assignments and meeting deadlines.
- The capability to translate data across various platforms, such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Eloquent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with statistical forecasting techniques.
- Background in supply chain/operations or forecasting certifications (APICS and/or CPF certification).
- The capacity to leverage AI to augment problem-solving skills.
