About the role
The Demand Planner is responsible for increasing the transparency of the medium-term development of demand within Doehler North America and improving forecast accuracy. They ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and on time, balancing cost-optimized production with customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the approved budget and introduce measures to counteract potential and actual deviations in consultation with the line manager.
- Continuously standardize and optimize processes and organizational structures, initiating corresponding measures.
- Define, implement, and ensure optimal exchange of information within the division and with interfaces.
- Document efficient and effective processes in the company's internal IT systems.
- Implement and maintain OEDM standards (e.g., 5S; standardized work).
- Monitor medium-term changes in demand and trend recognition for raw materials and final products.
- Continuously optimize the system environment.
- Check material and raw material availability and production capacities in accordance with incoming customer orders.
- Conduct S&OP calls with relevant stakeholders.
- Review upcoming pipeline, project launch dates, and orders vs. forecast regularly with sales.
Travel: Less than 10%
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship and/or degree in Business Administration/Economics.
- 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in a consulting role for the supply chain and production environment.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP R/3 and common analysis and evaluation tools.
