Demand Generation Marketing Manager
We’re hiring a Demand Generation Marketing Manager to generate net-new demand and qualified pipeline for Sage HCM, our HR and payroll solution. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you’ll own the HCM demand generation plan and work across marketing, sales, and product marketing to bring it to life through campaigns, programs, and sales follow-up.
HR, payroll, and workforce data increasingly shape financial decisions, from labor costs and payroll accuracy to compliance, headcount planning, and business forecasting. Yet many mid-market organizations still manage this work through manual processes and disconnected systems. Available as an add-on to Sage Intacct, our AI-powered accounting and financial management platform, Sage HCM brings workforce and financial data together in one place. It launched with HCM Agent, which uses “glass box” AI to provide recommendations that are transparent, explainable, and auditable. This helps HR and payroll teams reduce manual work, understand the reasoning behind AI-generated recommendations, and make more accurate payroll and compliance decisions with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Own the demand generation plan for Sage HCM, aligned with priority audiences, campaign opportunities, sales programs, and pipeline goals.
- Build and optimize integrated, multi-channel HCM campaigns across existing Sage Intacct marketing programs, prospect journeys, outbound programs, webinars, events, digital channels, and Sales Development follow-up.
- Partner with the HCM Product Marketing Manager to activate HCM messaging through campaign briefs, content requests, campaign materials, and sales follow-up guidance.
- Coordinate activity across product marketing, growth marketing, and sales, aligning teams around campaign timing, audience targeting, follow-up processes, feedback loops, and opportunity-creation goals.
- Track campaign and funnel performance, including lead quality, conversion, qualified opportunity creation, and pipeline impact. Use the results to identify gaps, recommend optimizations, and assess the potential impact of future initiatives.
- Prioritize initiatives based on expected pipeline impact, audience fit, available resources, and business urgency.
- Manage HCM demand generation initiatives from planning through launch, measurement, and optimization, keeping work on track and within scope.
- Keep stakeholders aligned through clear campaign plans, status updates, performance insights, risks, and decisions needed. Lead regular cross-functional check-ins to track progress, address blockers, and adjust activity when priorities or performance change.
- Improve the processes, templates, reporting routines, and ways of working that help Sage scale HCM demand generation effectively.
- Use AI tools to support campaign planning, content variation, testing, performance analysis, and workflow efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing.
- Owned campaigns or programs tied to net-new demand, opportunity creation, pipeline, revenue, or other commercial outcomes.
- Ability to speak to the numbers behind your campaigns, including the metrics you tracked, what the results showed, the changes you made, and how the work contributed to qualified opportunities, pipeline, or revenue.
- Developed integrated, multi-channel demand generation campaigns across a mix of email, webinars, events, paid media, organic, search, or content syndication.
- Experience tracking and optimizing full-funnel performance, from lead acquisition and quality through conversion and sales-qualified opportunities.
- Used CRM and reporting tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, or similar platforms to evaluate campaign and funnel performance.
- Known for clear communication, sound judgment, and high emotional intelligence when working with sales and other cross-functional teams.
- Take a proactive approach to solving problems, improving performance, and moving shared priorities forward.
