About the Role

The Demand Generation Manager - Paid Social at Canopy will own our paid social program end-to-end—building audiences, launching and testing campaigns, managing creative, and reporting on pipeline and net-new revenue. This hybrid position (M, W, F in-office) in Draper, Utah is ideal for a hands-on paid media operator comfortable working across Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit ads managers, and CRM systems. You’ll tell a clear, defensible story about how advertising drives business results.

Responsibilities

  • Paid social ownership: Plan, launch, optimize, and scale paid campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, and emerging platforms. Manage day-to-day campaign structure, targeting, bidding, pacing, and optimization, including supporting paid search on Google Ads.
  • Audience building: Develop and maintain audience layers—matched/custom audiences, ICP/ABM segments, retargeting pools, lookalikes, and suppression lists—using firmographic, intent, and CRM data.
  • Testing and experimentation: Run a continuous, structured test roadmap across audiences, creative, offers, placements, and landing pages. Set hypotheses, document learnings, and integrate winning strategies into the program.
  • Attribution and storytelling: Analyze performance from multiple angles (platform data, HubSpot, Salesforce, multi-touch attribution, self-reported attribution) to connect spend to MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and net-new revenue. Defend results and recommend next steps.
  • Budget management: Own the paid social budget, forecasting, pacing, and reallocating spend toward high-performing channels, audiences, and offers.
  • Creative management: Brief, prioritize, and manage creative requests with design/content teams. Maintain the creative library, track fatigue, and refresh assets to prevent performance decline.
  • Content ideation and creation: Partner with content and product marketing on campaign concepts, offers, and messaging. Write ad copy or produce lightweight creative when speed is critical.
  • Influencer and community partnerships: Collaborate with industry influencers, creators, and communities on sponsored content, co-branded programs, and paid amplification. Measure their impact alongside other channels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with demand gen, content, product marketing, sales, and RevOps to align campaigns and ensure leads are routed, followed up on, and measured correctly.
  • AI-enabled workflow: Use AI daily for ad copy variants, audience/competitor research, creative concepting, and performance analysis. Proactively integrate AI into demand gen processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with a focus on paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, or similar) in B2B or B2C. Google Ads experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business results (pipeline and revenue, not just clicks/leads).
  • Deep in-platform expertise: campaign architecture, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, pixels/CAPI, and platform reporting.
  • Experience building and managing audiences (matched, custom, lookalike, ABM target lists, suppression lists).
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with ad platform data, CRM data (HubSpot/Salesforce), and spreadsheets to answer attribution questions.
  • Experience owning a media budget and reporting on efficiency metrics (CPL, cost per MQL/SQL, CAC, pipeline per dollar).
  • Ability to write persuasive ad copy and create actionable creative briefs for designers/video editors.
  • Experience with influencers, creators, or community sponsorships is a plus.
  • Collaborative relationship-builder across marketing, sales, and RevOps.
  • Bias for action and appetite for testing—preferring to launch, learn, and iterate over waiting for perfection.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in using AI tools daily, with experience building custom AI skills/Gems/GPTs for recurring demand gen tasks. Commitment to sharpening AI skills as tools evolve.

We encourage candidates to apply even if they don’t perfectly fit the description.
