Mission
Operates the specific vehicles used for the project work in their field of specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- The ability to operate the tack truck or service truck.
- The ability to help the crew with shoveling and other task (when CDL license is not in use).
- The willingness and ability to keep trucks maintained and clean.
- Set string line on edges of road if needed.
- The willingness to work nights and weekends (if needed).
- The ability to drive in a safe and consistent manner.
Job Requirements
- Must have a positive work history.
- Must have the ability to perform physical labor.
- Must have a teamwork mentality.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must commitment to working safely.
- Previous experience (preferred).
- Valid Class A CDL (Tanker/HazMat endorsements) and good driving record.
- Must adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Delta Companies safety regulations.
Physical Demands
- Must have ability to perform physical labor, such as standing for long periods of time, lifting, climbing, shoveling, and having overall agility in the heat.
- Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day.
- Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.
- Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
