2020 Companies is hiring a full-time Brand Representative to build relationships and brand awareness for Dell inside retail stores in the Kansas City, MO market.
About the Role
The Brand Representative (BA) will cultivate relationships and excitement about Dell products, acting as a people-focused ambassador. Excellent communication skills and the ability to create positive interactions with store associates and customers are essential. The role involves selling, training, and merchandising Dell products, with all necessary product training provided.
Responsibilities
- Build partnerships and trust with key stakeholders, including shoppers and retail associates.
- Educate retail associates on the latest Dell offerings through relationship-building.
- Ensure Dell’s retail brand standards are maintained by inspecting displays and marketing materials.
- Travel within the assigned territory to visit retailers and generate brand excitement.
- Enhance the Dell brand experience for shoppers through demonstrations and hands-on product engagement.
- Conduct experience events to engage retail sales associates and customers.
- Confirm display devices are clean, functional, and available for customer use.
- Conduct surveys of in-store branded fixtures and record findings.
- Partner with store leaders to address pricing or merchandising issues.
- Execute resets, including placement or removal of devices and marketing materials.
- Provide insight into marketplace trends and competitor activities.
- Collect consumer insights and gather intelligence from high-performing stores.
- Drive brand market share through direct and indirect sales activities.
- Develop partnerships with retail store management to foster sales-driving activities.
- Schedule and facilitate sales and product training for store associates and managers.
- Ensure current products are displayed, functional, and clean.
- Set retail display resets and refreshes as needed.
- Build and maintain industry vertical affiliate distribution relationships.
- Assess and communicate on-site needs such as marketing materials and promotional collateral.
- Educate customers and make product recommendations.
- Meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics.
- Document and report sales, schedules, activities, and best practices.
- Collect customer feedback and provide sales/marketing insights.
- Maintain brand merchandising and ensure adherence to brand standards.
Performance Measurements
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals.
- Meet or exceed weekly in-store time goals.
- Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis.
- Schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance.
- Execute sales activities effectively during each visit.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish, maintain, and influence business relationships.
- Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 6+ months of previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or technical/wireless products preferred.
- 6+ months of successful training experience, preferably in direct marketing or retail environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs.
- Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment.
- Travel within 70 miles of the assigned market with occasional travel to other markets.
- Reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage.
Pay
- $18 per hour, based on market location and candidate experience.
- Weekly pay with next-day pay on-demand via DailyPay.
- Annual incentive up to $4,000, paid out quarterly.
- Paid travel time and mileage.
- $30/month cell phone reimbursement.
Schedule
- Typically Tuesday–Saturday, with a flexible schedule to balance work and life needs.
