Delivery Technician

Medicap Home Medical is Central Iowa's leading independent provider of home respiratory and durable medical equipment (DME).

About the role

We are looking for a dependable full-time Delivery Technician to pick up, deliver, set up, and instruct patients on home respiratory and durable medical equipment in the Coralville, IA area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and instruct patients and caregivers on home respiratory and durable medical equipment, including home oxygen, hospital beds, and wheelchairs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper use and troubleshooting of medical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and the store team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with other tasks as designated by the store manager.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Delivery experience preferred; home medical experience a plus.
• Ability to follow directions and be detail-oriented.
• Basic competencies using a smartphone, iPad, and desktop computer.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations (equivalent to secondary education or experience).
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• Good driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively deal with the public.
• Neat appearance and good organizational skills.
• Excellent navigational ability; familiarity with the Iowa City/Coralville area and surrounding communities is a plus.
• Ability to lift, position, and maneuver heavy loads from 50 to 150 lbs.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
