Delivery Technician

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up and instruct on home respiratory and durable medical equipment.
• Operate and educate on a variety of medical equipment such as home oxygen, hospital beds, and wheelchairs.
• Communicate with patients and caregivers to provide exceptional customer service.
• Avoids performing other tasks as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Delivery experience preferred.
• Home medical experience a plus.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Detail oriented.
• Basic competencies using a smartphone, iPad and desktop computer.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematic calculations.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• Good driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively deal with the public.
• Neat appearance.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent navigational ability, familiarity with the Ottumwa area and surrounding communities is a plus.
• Ability to lift, position and maneuver heavy loads from 50 to 150 lbs.
• Frequent squatting, bending and twisting.

Pay

Competitive pay rate commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position does require the ability to participate in a telephone-based on-call rotation, with some evening, weekend and holiday hours required.
