Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based in Denver, CO. We serve as the critical link between brewery suppliers and retail outlets, including restaurants and bars. Founded in 1971 and now the only company-owned distributor for Molson Coors Beverage Company, CDC is one of the top 25 largest beer distributors in the country, distributing over 30 suppliers, roughly 14 million cases per year, with nearly 400 employees.
Responsibilities
- Performance & Talent Management (50%)
- Direct and oversee a delivery driver team working on various routes throughout the Denver Front Range area in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage all people-related processes, including staffing, performance management, discipline, time system management, and team communications.
- Provide feedback to trainees, ride with and evaluate them, and approve or extend training based on performance.
- Conduct monthly team meetings and 1x1s to discuss goals and performance.
- Communicate company policy changes, DOT regulations, and document coaching conversations or performance issues.
- Apply CDC policies consistently and provide career development feedback to team members.
- Compliance & Safety Leadership (20%)
- Lead by example in safe behaviors, promote the "all injuries are preventable" philosophy, and identify risky behaviors during work-withs.
- Address unsafe behaviors using performance management tools and corrective action processes for patterns or trends.
- Identify process improvements to enhance driver safety while managing to a budget.
- Investigate incidents and complete Management Safety Analysis in a timely manner.
- Relationship Management (20%)
- Act as a liaison between drivers, sales reps, and retailers.
- Assist with escalated issues between drivers and retailers.
- Quality Assurance (10%)
- Maintain quality control through scheduled or random audits.
- Hold team members accountable for non-rotated beer, old beer, breakage, and communicate expectations when issues arise.
- Provide coaching and additional training as needed.
Requirements
- Authentic leadership with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Physically capable of handling and delivering 500–1,000 cases (30 lbs. each) daily and lifting up to 165 lbs. throughout the day.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience as a Delivery Driver in a consumer product distribution environment, preferably in the beer industry.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to alcohol sales and delivery, as well as DOT regulations and OSHA requirements.
- Valid Colorado Class A driver’s license with an MVR meeting MillerCoors Pre-Employment Background Screening Guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends (schedule published monthly in advance).
- Strong communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization and retailers.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, tight storage areas, varying temperatures, and navigate stairs.
- May assist with route relief or open route coverage as needed.

Pay
Salary range: $83,300.00 – $109,400.00.
