Delivery Manager

Delivery Manager | Location: Remote | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $65-$79 We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of complex, business-critical initiatives within an Agile environment. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, facilitating planning and execution, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones in a remote setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Agile practices, coaching experience, and the ability to manage risks and improve delivery processes. Key Responsibilities Lead, organize, and motivate cross-functional Agile teams working on initiatives of medium to high complexity and visibility.Serve as a central communication point between departments, Agile teams, and Product Owners to identify risks and coordinate activities for timely sprint completion.Coach Product Owners on roadmap development, backlog management, and prioritization strategies.Guide Agile teams on user story writing, story sizing, and defining acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and quality.Develop and maintain release and sprint roadmaps aligned with business objectives.Facilitate sprint planning, PI planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement.Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery timelines.Promote effective communication and collaboration between teams and Product Owners.Adapt and refine processes to maximize team efficiency and adherence to Agile methodologies.Support production deployment activities in partnership with project and release managers.Maintain reports on sprint progress, schedules, and Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time.Hold teams accountable for achieving planned sprint and Program Increment outcomes.Manage risks associated with delivery decisions and contribute to organizational risk practices.Ensure delivery activities comply with established processes, governance, and industry standards. Required Qualifications Proven experience managing delivery for cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.Deep knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and coaching techniques.Hands-on experience facilitating sprint planning, PI planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Expertise in backlog management, user story development, story sizing, and release planning.Ability to identify and resolve impediments, manage risks, and drive teams toward delivery goals.Experience tracking delivery progress and reporting on Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.Demonstrated problem-solving and process improvement skills.Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions within established standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading initiatives with medium to high organizational complexity and visibility.Coaching Product Owners and Product leaders on roadmap and backlog health.Partnering with project and release managers on production deployments.Proven ability to drive process improvements and act as a change agent.Applying risk management practices to delivery and team operations.
