About the Role
Route delivery driver position based in Baltimore, MD. This full-time role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and functionally checking medical equipment, delivering and instructing on medical equipment and supplies to home care customers, and providing highly responsible patient care services.
Responsibilities
- Strict adherence to company policy and procedure manual, including state and federal laws.
- Safely drive and maintain company vehicles, including daily vehicle inspections.
- Always wear seatbelts and securely load and stage delivery vehicles in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Functionally check and select ordered medical equipment and supplies.
- Prioritize and coordinate deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls efficiently.
- Educate home care customers and other end users on medical equipment and supply use, including demonstrations.
- Interact with patients and customers of various ages.
- Perform assessments and reassessments of each customer’s care or service needs.
- Document customer responses, actions, interventions, and outcomes of care or services provided.
- Complete plans of care appropriate to the level of care provided.
- Collect accurate patient information (demographic, billing, and medical) to support care, service, and treatment operations.
- Refer service complaints and compliments to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in paid secondary on-call rotation duties after a 90-day introductory period (includes weekends).
- Participate in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
- Engage in traditional and e-learning programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work effectively with other employees, managers, and departments.
- Perform all job functions with company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; three months of industry-related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Practical knowledge of cleaning techniques and processes applicable to the industry.
- Must pass basic mathematics and map test.
- Good personal hygiene and appearance.
- Clean state criminal background, federal sex offender check, clean drug test, and valid driver’s license; must pass a driving skill test.
- Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of departmental program structure (Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements) and department policies and procedures.
- Tuberculosis testing and influenza vaccine required at hire and annually; Hepatitis B screening, vaccination, or declination required at hire. Additional vaccinations/testing may be added at the company’s discretion.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient ability to apply mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions) to practical situations.

- Proficient ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex mathematical instructions and information.
- Practical knowledge of personal computer use, word processing, spreadsheet, and inventory software.
- Ability to quickly learn company-specific software programs and handheld/technology tools.
- Productivity in a fast-paced environment with unscheduled interruptions while maintaining acceptable judgment and responsibility.
- Good organization, time management, and communication skills.
Physical Demands

Safety & Training
- Potential occupational exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, or other potentially infectious materials.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including eye/face protection, gowns/aprons, hand/foot protection, and N95 respirator.
- 90-day training/orientation period with knowledge gained via qualified company staff, continuing education, off-site training, and independent study.
- Employee competence in company policies and procedures will be certified in writing by a supervisor or designated individual.
- Participation in company in-services and off-site training programs as designated by management.
Must be 21 years old for this position.
