Delivery Driver / Store Associate
This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. You will also deliver products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores in a safe and timely manner using Company vans or pick-up trucks.
Part-time position at Store #707543, located at 1275 E Loop 304 Ste 600, Crockett, TX 75835.
Duties involve contact with customers (including minors), handling cash and payments, accessing electronic equipment and personal information, and safeguarding store merchandise and other valuables. A criminal history review is required to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
- Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
- Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas
- Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
- Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
- Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, etc., when driving a vehicle
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Requirements
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (preferred)
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position (preferred)
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish (preferred)
