Delivery Driver - JBER

Money: delivery experts are paid cash daily from earned cash tips and mileage reimbursement, plus an hourly wage.

Opportunities

This driver position is a stepping stone to learn about the delivery business, customer service, and product creation. Domino’s Pizza promotes from within, and most managers started as drivers or CSRs. Advancement into the Management Development Program is possible.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years
• Good driving record (no more than 3 traffic violations in the last 36 months)
• Outstanding attitude toward customer service
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Access to an insured vehicle that passes regular safety inspections

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
• Prepare product
• Receive and process telephone orders
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
• Deliver product by car and to the customer’s door
• Distribute delivery flyers and door hangers

Physical Demands

• Carrying: Deliver pizzas, sides, and beverages; carry large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), 30-lb pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray, 3 at a time).
• Driving: Make multiple deliveries per shift within a designated area.
• Walking: Travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
• Climbing: Navigate five or more flights of stairs during deliveries.
• Standing: Most tasks are performed standing on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high.
• Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (cases up to 50 lbs, dimensions up to 3'x1.5') and stack onto shelves up to 72" high.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during deliveries.
• Far and night vision required for driving.
