Delivery Driver

About the role

You’ll safely operate a box truck under 26,000 pounds while picking up, delivering, and unloading products along designated routes. You’ll also assist with shipping and receiving, help maintain accurate delivery records, and provide excellent customer service at every stop.

Pay

Starting pay is $21+ per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds (CDL not required).
• Pick up, drive, deliver, and unload per daily designated routes.
• Provide customer service: deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check number or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class E driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Some distribution supply experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred; data entry skills a plus.
• Commitment to service beyond the expectations of our customers.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
• Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
