Delivery Driver Class B CDL

About the role

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver to transport materials and equipment to construction job sites. This position reports directly to the Fabrication Shop Manager and must comply with all state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify and secure loads.
• Inspect vehicle for defects before and after trips and submit a report indicating vehicle condition.
• Drive vehicle to assigned destination(s).
• Assist workers in unloading and loading truck when required.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations, including ELD.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Convey materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Fill work orders and/or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop, warehouse, storage yard, parking lot, and/or offices as needed.
• Utilize tow-behind trailer to make deliveries and pickups.
• Deliver and pick up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
• Work overtime and off-hour shifts as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of previous delivery driving or related work experience.
• Possession of a current DOT Medical Card.
• Class B CDL.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards found in the Fleet Policy.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word and Excel).
