Delivery Driver - CDL A

Starting pay of $31.12 per hour with three pay increases during the first year of employment. $1,500 sign-on bonus paid as $500 after 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months of full employment.

About the role

This position delivers to all types of customers, including Foodservice. The driver operates the delivery vehicle, delivers product to stores, and is responsible for rotating and stocking product on shelves, displays, coolers, and vending equipment. Additional duties include building small displays, setting up promotional materials, generating invoices, and handling daily cash settlements. The role involves frequent interaction with store management and receiving personnel.

Physical requirements include lifting and loading cases ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly, pushing/pulling 40-150 pounds of force occasionally, and performing tasks that require reaching, squatting, and bending. Unloading pallets of product using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck is also required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable). Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

Helpful Experience

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Adhering to all DOT regulations (e.g., reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out-of-stocks and out-of-date products)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (e.g., operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
• Documenting DOT regulations (e.g., reading and comprehending documentation or maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

$31.12 per hour starting pay with three pay increases during the first year of employment.
