Delivery Driver-CDL A

About the role

The Apply Description A Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products within their designated account base and territory in the beverage alcohol industry.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis.
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates.
• Aid the warehouse as needed.
• Understand and comply with safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Secure company property at all times including cash, checks, and company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• CDL Class A Driver’s license with the ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts if needed.
• Strong customer service skills and understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
• Positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
• Fast-paced individual with strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Working Conditions & Dress Code

• Operates in a warehouse environment with varying hours.
• Regular, consistent attendance is required.
• Dress code may vary by shift and will be communicated by the Operations Manager.

Physical Requirements

• Able to move or lift up to 165 lbs on occasion and repetitively lift 25+ lbs throughout the shift.
• Spend work shift continuously standing, walking, climbing stairs, sitting, using hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers, phones, fax machines, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and having specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
