Delivery Driver

About the role

Flowers of Charlotte is a renowned floral design company based in Charlotte, NC, known for creating beautiful and unique arrangements for various events and occasions. We also own and operate the Charlotte Flower Market, providing high-quality wholesale flowers and supplies to both individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned vehicles to transport merchandise to and from the flower shop and customer locations
• Load and unload merchandise, ensuring that all items are securely packaged and protected during transport
• Confirm delivery details with customers, including the delivery address, date, and time
• Cole collect payment for orders when necessary, and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any customer feedback
• Assist with flower shop duties when not making deliveries, including helping customers with purchases and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service-oriented approach
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Available to work up to 28 hours a week
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns
• Fitness to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Able to sit for extended periods of time while driving
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with the floral industry and customer service experience is a plus
