Responsibilities
- Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
- Ensure orders are properly fulfilled and satisfy customers.
- Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness, charges, and customer satisfaction.
- Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, use route navigation apps, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without disrupting operations.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Accept payments, prepare reports, reconcile debt and credit, and collect moneys related to deliveries.
- Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle and report any issues to manager.
- Absorb and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Qualifications
- Current, valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements (must be 21 years old or over).
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting (required for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers, who must be able to lift 75 lbs).
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined: managing, tracking, and accounting for money transactions; utilizing tablets and mobile devices for navigation/ route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture; exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; taking and following directions; working well with others as part of a team; flexibility with schedule and ability to work overtime; previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
