Key Responsibilities
- Represent JM Test Systems to external customers in a professional manner.
- Deliver and pick up equipment, paperwork, and raw materials to both clients and other JM Test Systems labs as directed by the Logistics Coordinator and Management.
- Pick up from the Baton Rouge lab daily and shuttle between interoffice locations, including driver handoff shuttling across Mississippi, Texas, and north Louisiana.
- Ensure safety standards are met while performing duties, including loading/unloading materials and operating a company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment pick-up, delivery, and turnaround times.
- Maintain customer relationships by addressing needs and providing top-notch service.
- Ensure a neat and clean appearance as a representative of JM Test Systems.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and coordinate repairs/services as required.
- Follow best safety practices when driving, loading, unloading, and at customer facilities.
- Meet daily deadlines and communicate any exceptions to the dispatch coordinator.
- Conduct daily check-ins with the logistics coordinator.
- Obtain customer signatures and organize necessary documents for submission to corporate.
Route & Territory
- Up to a 180-mile radius for shuttle distance; approximately 40,000 miles per year.
- Interoffice shuttle share that crosses state lines between Mississippi, Texas, and north Louisiana.
- Daily pickups from the Baton Rouge lab.
Licensing
- Class D license preferred; potential to pull small trailers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs or more, with a dolly available as needed).
- Perform tasks requiring bending and hauling/moving equipment by hand.
- Ability to travel long distances; no overnight stays under the regular schedule, though they remain a possibility with advance notification.
- Early start times (typically between 4:30 and 5:00 AM) and on-call availability (minimal).
- Ability to work 10-12 hours per day, typical but not guaranteed.
- Keep up with paperwork and follow necessary procedures.

Schedule
- Averages approximately 50 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Early start (typically 4:30-5:00 AM)
