Delivery Driver

About the role

This position is full-time and involves making deliveries to various job sites and picking up stock in the Greater Boston and surrounding areas, as well as occasionally to Cape Cod, Rhode Island, and southern New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Making deliveries to various job sites and picking up stock in the Greater Boston and surrounding areas, as well as occasionally to Cape Cod, Rhode Island, and southern New Hampshire.
• Driving for long periods of time, staying focused, and being punctual.
• Putting together stock orders for delivery, accepting shipments, unloading and organizing stock, loading trucks, performing job site cleanouts, and fabricating pipe, as well as other general warehouse duties as assigned.
• Fulfilling all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Reliable, with a prompt attendance record.
• A valid MA driver’s license with an excellent driving record and a dependable vehicle.
• The ability to stay focused and drive for long periods of time.
• A strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic reasoning skills, including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
• A mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• The ability to keep delivery trucks and work area clean and organized, as well as take proper care of equipment and materials.
• A willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A clean background check.
• The ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, and twist.
• The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• The ability to stand, squat, and walk for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of dependability and a strong work ethic.
• Experience as a delivery driver and familiarity with the Greater Boston area are definite pluses.
