Delivery Driver

About the Role

As a Delivery Driver, you will make deliveries of cannabis to dispensaries throughout the state. You will drive the safest and most efficient routes, adhere to a delivery schedule, maintain control over the vehicle’s inventory as listed on the manifest, provide exceptional customer service at the dispensaries, and follow all state laws and regulations governing cannabis delivery. Cannabis is a heavily regulated industry, so all employees must follow safety laws and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute all deliveries on time and communicate any delays to the Logistics Manager and dispensary
• Efficiently load and unload product from the delivery vehicles
• Verify items and quantities for delivery
• Support order fulfillment or other duties when not required to deliver
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks (changing tires, checking and adding fluids, etc.)
• Develop positive customer relationships with dispensaries
• Communicate with order fulfillment and sales departments to resolve delivery-related issues
• Safely transport a wide range of cannabis products to dispensaries
• Follow all rules of the road and ensure vehicles are clean and properly maintained
• Keep detailed records on all vehicle maintenance and issues
• Complete all necessary paperwork (checklist, rejection sheet) and maintain driver logs
• Understand and ensure full compliance with all state regulations related to delivery/distribution of medical cannabis
• Report all non-conformance, delivery rejections, etc. immediately
• Ensure all signatures and other requirements are gathered per policy

Working Conditions

• Regularly perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
• Work and drive in a variety of elements
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods while maintaining focus
• Lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds with extreme care and caution when working with product
• Daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil)

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; associate degree or certifications preferred
• Ability to work well with others while completing individually assigned tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Previous cannabis experience not required
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Possess a valid state ID
• Able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry (requires background check and state review)

Pay

Competitive pay range based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range: $19.50—$19.50 USD
