Delivery Driver

About the role

This position involves transporting materials over designated routes, providing excellent customer service, and performing warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials over designated routes
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles
• Provide prompt and courteous deliveries of orders
• Verify material correctness based on the Ship Ticket upon unloading
• Perform daily detailed inspections of the vehicle for general maintenance and safety
• Maintain the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence, minimum of three (3) years of driving history
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) with no Type A violations or speeding violations exceeding 15 mph over the limit within the past three (3) years, and no more than one (1) Type B violation in the same time frame
• One (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months
• Strong skills in reading, writing, performing basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis
• The ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks accurately and with attention to detail in a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Handling and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
