Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport materials over designated routes safely.
• Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.
• Ensure materials loaded on the truck match the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and are securely fastened for transport.
• Unload materials at each delivery location in an organized manner, verifying the accuracy of the material based on the Ship Ticket.
• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle to maintain general maintenance and ensure safety.
• Maintain the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner by managing receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violations; or no more than (1) type B violation in the past (3) years.
• A minimum of 1 year of driving experience within the past 36 months, operating a commercial motor vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more preferred.
• Read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze.
• Function independently, completing various tasks accurately with close attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent driving in all types of weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to events such as excessive noise and moving machinery.
• Frequently walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and reach.
• Regularly handle objects and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle by the medical qualification standards in Sec. 391.41.
