Delivery Driver

About the role

This position involves transporting materials over designated routes, providing excellent customer service, and performing warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of vehicles and provide prompt, courteous deliveries.
• Verify materials on Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest upon loading and unload materials at each delivery location.
• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle to maintain its general maintenance and safety.
• Maintain an orderly warehouse by receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence with at least 3 years of driving history.
• A satisfactory MVR with no Type A violations within the past 7 years, no speeding violations of 15+ mph over the limit within the past 3 years, and no more than one Type B violations within the past 3 years.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months.
• Strong skills in reading, writing, basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test screening for various substances.

Skills

• Physical requirements to operate a motor vehicle as per FMCSA regulations.
• Adherence to customer safety protocols and awareness of potential hazards.
• Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling/lifting objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
