Responsibilities
- Transport materials over designated routes safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.
- Ensure materials loaded on the truck match the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and are securely fastened for transport.
- Unload materials at each delivery location in an organized manner and verify accuracy against the Ship Ticket.
- Perform daily inspections of the vehicle to maintain general maintenance and ensure safety.
- Maintain warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence with at least three (3) years of driving history.
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) with no Type A violations or speeding violations exceeding 15 mph over the limit within the past three (3) years, and no more than one (1) Type B violation in the same time frame.
- One (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months.
- Strong skills in reading, writing, performing basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis.
- The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks accurately and with attention to detail in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical qualifications to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with Section 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Qualifications
- Must meet the physical requirements to operate a motor vehicle as per FMCSA regulations.
- Frequent visits to customer sites expose employees to various weather conditions and environmental factors.
- Awareness of and adherence to each customer’s safety protocols is essential.
- Occasional exposure to hazards such as loud noise or moving machinery.
- The role requires frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
- Handling and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
