Delivery Driver

About the role

Domino's Pizza is currently seeking qualified drivers to staff stores in various locations. The company is expanding rapidly, offering numerous growth opportunities, including management positions and franchise ownership.

Job requirements and duties

• Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery purposes.
• Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses within designated delivery areas, and navigate through adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Qualifications

• General job duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, and cleaning facilities.
• Training is provided on the job.
• Communication skills are essential, including the ability to give and understand written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, and process orders over the phone and in person.
• Motor coordination and precision movements are necessary for tasks such as entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work conditions

• Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries and adverse weather conditions while performing other tasks.
• In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in coolers to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.
• Sudden changes in temperature and exposure to fumes from food odors.
• Cramped quarters and exposure to hot surfaces and moving mechanical parts.

Physical demands

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, and climbing.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying trays of pizza dough, and navigating stairs.

Driving specific job duties

• Deliver product by car and to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

Essential skills

• Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within designated delivery areas.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes.
