About the role
As a Domino's Pizza Delivery Driver, you will deliver orders to designated locations on time while maintaining punctuality, honesty, and a courteous manner. You will also assist with food preparation, customer orders, cleaning duties, and rotating food shipments, which may involve lifting up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of product details, services, and charges is essential to provide accurate information to customers.
This role may require working outdoors in various temperatures, in noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, or with hazardous materials. Physical demands include repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-delivery vehicle preparations
- Learn and navigate the delivery area efficiently
- Check orders for quality and accuracy before delivery
- Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interactions, both in-person and by phone
- Assist with food preparation and packaging
- Take customer orders and process payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the store and its equipment
- Rotate commissary deliveries
Requirements
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
- Customer-focused with strong initiative
- Cash management skills
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license for at least two years, compliant with state laws
- Acceptable motor vehicle report/driving abstract (no more than two moving violations and one accident in the last 3 years; no DUI or speeding tickets over 25 mph)
- Insured and satisfactory vehicle for deliveries
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and unscheduled shifts as emergencies arise
- Willingness to be cross-trained and perform other duties within the restaurant as needed
Pay
Hourly wage: $14.05–$15.55, plus additional tips and mileage compensation. Gas reimbursement is based on a third-party surveyor’s recommended rate of $1.60 per run, and data usage reimbursement is provided.
