About the Role
You’re at the intersection of technology, people, and process, helping clients transform how they adapt to market shifts and align their business strategy and vision. As an Associate Consultant Intern, you’ll guide clients in understanding their processes, goals, and objectives to define their future state and help them achieve it. You’ll help clients grasp leading technologies and their impact on traditional business processes while building a portfolio of rewarding experiences, mastering new skills, and becoming an expert in our clients’ industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Cloud migration and system application implementation or upgrades.
- Run or support workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews.
- Document requirements from the product owner or business lead.
- Develop process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenarios.
- Translate client requirements into analytical specifications for IBM solutions.
- Define current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans, and solutions) and collaborate with clients to ensure proper translation of business requirements into solution requirements.
- Project the business value of solutions in client-relevant terms and drive adoption of key performance indicators (KPIs) with stakeholders.
- Develop communications tailored to specific audiences.
- Work in Agile, collaborative environments using IBM’s Design Thinking to solve client challenges.
- Analyze data to support conclusions, strategies, and organizational design.
Requirements
- Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology.
- Basic understanding of Hybrid Cloud Strategies (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Basic understanding of AI.
- Basic understanding of Networks and DevOps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity or experience with computer languages: Java, Python, C++, C#, .NET, HTML.
- SQL skills, understanding of data structures, and ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) skills.
- Data analysis skills.
- Passion for innovative ideas and ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and generate business cases.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and adaptability, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and problems beyond initial scope.
- Initiative to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills.
- Prior internship or work experience in a corporate setting with a demonstrated track record.
