About the role
The role of a Delivery Assistant involves partnering with a Delivery Driver to provide exceptional customer service through product delivery and merchandising. This is a physically demanding position requiring adherence to driving and safety regulations, repetitive movement, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Aids in deliveries to all scheduled accounts while following all applicable driving and safety regulations.
- Unloads and moves product repetitively using appropriate equipment throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Stocks all windows, cold boxes, coolers, shelves, and displays in retail accounts quickly and efficiently as directed by the Route Driver.
- Rotates product to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Effectively communicates issues and opportunities to the Route Driver or Coach as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent Certificate
- Current/Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Prior Industry Experience (not specified)
- Previous Retail or Customer Service Experience (not specified)
- A Great Work Ethic & Attitude (not specified)
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, pull/push loads up to 100 lbs, and perform heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products up to 55 lbs.
- Essential Functions: Ability to drive during the workday and comply with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
- Medical Evaluation: Potential candidates are required to successfully complete a medical evaluation including a physical evaluation designed to test ability to perform basic physical job requirements.
