About the role

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle stressful situations effectively
• Communicate clearly and effectively
• Manage daily tasks and responsibilities
• Monitor and report on product quality and freshness
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide recommendations
• Prepare and serve meals and assemble party trays
• Perform cashier functions
• Follow merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate and customer engagement rules
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of refrigerated areas and displays
• Report discrepancies, accidents, and safety concerns
• Comply with health and civil code regulations and weights and measures laws

Requirements

• Minimum ability to handle stressful situations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food handlers permit
• Age 18 or older
• Physical ability to meet job demands

Qualifications

• Desired high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail
• Second language skills (optional)

Skills

• Basic math skills: counting, addition, and subtraction
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations
• Ability to follow safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
• Ability to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
