About the Role

A Deli Clerk provides courteous customer service, prepares deli orders, and maintains the deli area.

Responsibilities

• Slice, cut, weigh, and price merchandise accurately.
• Prepare customer orders to satisfaction and greet customers warmly.
• Unload and store deli merchandise, maintain stock levels, and ensure product freshness through rotation and coding.
• Price products legibly and update weekly specials and new items.
• Monitor case temperatures, report issues, and adhere to department policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards per health regulations.
• Assist with hot food preparation and other food items as needed.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
• Basic math skills for weighing and pricing.
• Dexterity for slicing and preparing deli products.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
