About the Role

Festival Foods is seeking a Part‑Time Deli Clerk to join the team at the 80th Street store in Kenosha, WI. The role involves food preparation, guest service, and maintaining deli quality standards in a fast‑paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful, friendly service to guests, including greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Assist guests in locating items on or off the sales floor and answer the Deli Department telephone.
• Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests with attention to detail and quality.
• Address guest concerns promptly using the boomerang principle to ensure a positive experience.
• Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish all deli products on display.
• Maintain proper inventory levels for deli storage items such as containers, lids, spoons, and tags.
• Lead by example in maintaining food safety logs and adhering to all safety standards.
• Ensure quality and quantity expectations are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and perform a full range of upper‑body motion.
• Capability to work at a fast pace and handle exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Effective problem‑solving ability in a dynamic, stressful environment.
• Safety awareness, including training on slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactors, and balers.
• Knowledge of retail food operations, perishable department merchandising, and timely decision‑making.

Pay

Hourly associates are paid weekly. Part‑time employees receive a $1 per hour premium on Sundays and select holidays.
