Deli Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Deli Clerk to provide friendly customer service while preparing sandwiches, slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli meats, cheeses, and other products. This position will also support daily Deli operations with product restocking, display organization, freshness and quality checks, cleaning, and food preparation to maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and customer-ready department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches and other deli items following established recipes, portions, presentation, and food-safety standards.
• Slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats, cheeses, and other products.
• Maintain deli displays, counters, workstations, and product areas clean, organized, properly stocked, and well presented.
• Operate slicers, utensils, and other Deli equipment safely.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, restocking, product rotation, and other Deli duties as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Must be able to work rotating shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience as a Deli Clerk, Deli Associate, Deli Counter Clerk, Sandwich Maker, Food Service worker, Supermarket employee, Customer Service representative, or Auxiliar de Deli preferred.
• Experience slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli meats, cheeses, and other products preferred.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods while performing physical duties.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow food-safety standards.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
