Deli Clerk

What You'll Do

• Prepare and display food
• Aid customers with their selections
• Maintain the deli case with fresh ingredients and attractive displays
• Ensure proper rotation of products and remove expired items
• Replenish deli items and supplies such as cutlery, cups, and containers
• Prepare special orders to meet customer specifications
• Offer samples to increase product awareness and drive sales
• Read and follow recipes in English with accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
• Assist vendors and contribute to department improvements
• Perform other duties as needed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous customer service experience (deli/food service a plus)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math skills for weighing, pricing, and transactions
• Ability to read recipes and product labels in English
• Efficiency in a fast-paced, team environment
• Proactive, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Sometimes lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Carrying trays or bowls of food up to 50 feet
• Using carts, dollies, and kitchen tools safely and efficiently

Availability

• Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
