Job Description

Miles Farmers Market is a family-owned and operated business that has proudly served Northeast Ohio for over 50 years. As a key part of our Deli Department, Deli Clerks play an essential role in creating the friendly, welcoming atmosphere our customers love. In this role, you’ll be assisting customers by slicing and packaging their meats, cheeses, and salads to order. Deli clerks are often the face of the store—delivering great service, answering questions, and helping customers find exactly what they need.

Qualifications

• No experience? No problem. While previous food or customer service experience is a plus, it’s not required. We’re happy to train anyone with a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a friendly personality.
• You’ll start by learning how to safely operate a deli slicer and begin by filling basic slice-to-order requests. From there, you’ll shadow senior clerks and gradually start interacting with customers under supervision.
• You’ll move at your own pace with full support from our Deli Manager and experienced team members, who are always available to help you succeed.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be attentive, safety-conscious, and willing to learn
• A positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential
• Dependability and a team-oriented mindset are highly valued
