About the role
The Delegating RN for assisted living supports communities in Washington and Oregon, with candidates residing nearby preferred.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Delegates nursing tasks according to applicable state laws and practice acts.
- Develops and delivers training to staff on health-related services, focusing on personal care and medication administration best practices.
- Assesses the health, functional, and psychosocial status of residents and collaborates in developing individualized service plans.
- Maintains accurate documentation and clear communication of resident care and services.
- Maintains regulatory compliance and stays updated on industry trends and standards.
- Ensures adherence to strict health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures and universal precautions.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.
Qualifications And Experience
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in geriatric nursing, medication administration, case management, and staff training and development is preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in good standing in the state of Oregon.
Work Environment
- Operates in an assisted living environment.
- Exposure to various temperatures, noise levels, and potentially infectious materials.
- Regular interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical professionals.
- Requires adherence to strict health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures and universal precautions.
- Travel required within assigned region and may occur with little notice.
Physical Demand
- Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Strong manual dexterity for tasks like medication administration and charting.
- Clear verbal communication.
- Acute vision for close tasks and safety.
- Ability to hear alarms and instructions.
- Quick mobility for emergency response throughout the facility.
