Delaware State Parks Maintenance Housing Technician

Essential Functions

• Performs repairs and upgrades to rental units within the northern region.
• Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance within intern housing units.
• Aids Housing Administrator with annual housing inspections.
• Aids Housing Administrator with maintaining current lists for tasks to be completed for each unit.
• Acts as liaison between Housing Administrator and contractors to ensure contracted work is completed in a timely manner and meets the Division’s standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.

  Job Requirements

  • Six months experience in performing work in a variety of trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, or HVAC.
  • Six months experience in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of estimating cost, time, and materials for projects.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

  • This position will have Statewide responsibilities which requires travel throughout the State.
