Job Description

Makes composite parts by measuring, cutting, applying, and layering pre-impregnated (prepreg) materials to tools, molds, and mandrels under the direction of a Supervisor or Lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learns and lays up parts of simple to medium complexity.
• Learns and follows work instructions to measure and cut various prepreg materials to size using sheers.
• Learns and follows work instructions to apply and layer prepreg materials to molds and mandrels of simple to medium complexity.
• Show strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and good manual dexterity to perform the job correctly.
• Use hands with precision on small items and in small spaces.
• Document relevant data for material traceability purposes.
• Follow work instructions to ensure parts are made per customer requirements.
• Inspect parts and tools visually for damage or quality issues.
• Cross-train and take on additional responsibilities, such as compaction and vacuum bagging parts.
• Be dependable.
