Defense Industrial Directorate Finance Lead (Hybrid)

Job Description

Parson’s finance organization is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Finance/Project Controls Lead, responsible for supporting the Defense Industrial Directorate in our Federal Business. This highly visible position reports to the IS Sector Finance Lead and partners heavily with the IS team, including Senior VPs, VPs, Sector Finance Manager of IS, other Directorate and Sector Finance/ Project Control Leads, Program Managers, and others from the Operations Team.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is required; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred
• A minimum 10-15 years of experience in a financial capacity, preferably in the U.S. Federal Government contractor space.
• A collaborative, open, cooperative, and supportive team player, within ES and across BUs
• A strong communicator and builds trust with BU and Sector executive leadership team, directorates and program managers as well as corporate leadership
• Track record of collaborating within the Finance and operational teams
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop a team of Finance professionals
• Has experience working in a public company dealing with external third-party audit as well as executive leadership
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and recognize the importance of relationship building and professionalism in interacting with both senior management and staff employees
• Experience and ability to positively impact and resolve change management issues, including REAs, ECPs, etc.
• M&A experience preferred supporting due diligence and integration as the need arises
• Has a solid understanding of Joint Venture (JV) finance and risk management (both populated and un-populated)
• A high energy, dynamic professional with strong leadership presence
• Demonstrated strong federal finance and accounting experience – FAR, CAS, FPR, certified pricing, etc.
• Highly proficient with Costpoint, Excel and MS Office suite of business tools
