About the role
Service mortgage accounts to ensure all bankruptcy and related default activities follow all state and federal laws. Perform a variety of bankruptcy tasks within timelines and workflow processes on files. Processes are managed in accordance with established work rules, goals, and objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance.
Responsibilities
- Service mortgage accounts to ensure all bankruptcy activities are processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency, and company guidelines
- Conduct a complete review of files to ensure all bankruptcy time frames have been met
- Manage bankruptcy proceedings on assigned cases by interacting and instructing various parties such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and any other party involved with bankruptcy
- Monitor activities by reviewing bankruptcy proceedings, records, and time frames, in addition to working all system/database activities throughout the bankruptcy process
- Diligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners
- Audit accounts for expense compliance and ensure proper application to system of record
- Perform required research on loans with questionable items such as the application of payments, proper notification, and any other situation that may arise
- Manage exception reporting used as key controls for minimizing risk
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of directly related experience
- Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of the department
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- GSE and Government experience
- System of Record experience
- Working knowledge of computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
Candidates selected for employment will be required to successfully complete a background check, credit check, and drug screening as a condition of employment, where permitted by applicable law.
Pay
$23.37 - $31.15 hourly
