Dedicated Care Assistant Needed

Seeking a long‑term Dedicated Care Assistant to build consistency and rapport while providing comprehensive support in a private home setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Transport the client to and from the day‑service program on weekdays.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for changes in condition.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and assist during meals and snacks.
• Teach and support the client in learning new skills and gaining confidence.
• Provide community‑integration opportunities based on the client’s interests and abilities.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well‑being and build a trusting connection.

Requirements

• Experience working with adults with disabilities, non‑verbal individuals, and behavioral issues (preferred).
• Compassionate, patient, and energetic approach to caregiving.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliability and commitment to a long‑term role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings.
• Background check required prior to employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Schedule

• Monday‑Thursday, 2:00 pm – 9:45 am (overnight shifts).
• Friday at 2:00 pm through Monday at 9:45 am (overnight shifts).
• Additional daytime hours may be available; details provided during interview.
• Flexible scheduling options to choose shifts that fit your lifestyle.
• Both day and overnight shifts are available.

Pay

• $16.50 per hour for day shifts, plus mileage reimbursement at $0.35 per mile.
• Overnight shifts receive a flat‑rate stipend of $50.75 for a 7‑hour shift.
