Decon Laborer 04151 NWP
Position Purpose
A Decon Laborer for the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project performs construction decontamination tasks at the Moab and Crescent Junction sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and decontamination activities.
- Conduct a thorough inspection of the tools and equipment assigned.
- Safely operate hand tools and powered hand tool equipment in different configurations as assigned.
- Properly complete all necessary paperwork as required by project procedures and federal, state, and local laws.
- Perform work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of experience in construction, decontamination and basic maintenance duties.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to clearly communicate professionally, both orally and in written form, and to maintain records related to the job. Motivated and willing to work as part of a team and perform multiple job functions. Possess the ability to execute tasks after receiving written or oral instructions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and night shifts, pending demand.
- Special Requirements: Must pass pre-employment background check. Must pass pre-employment drug testing. Proof of citizenship will be required as a condition of employment. Ability to pass U.S. Government employment background check and acquire U.S. Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential card.
