The ideal candidate must be able under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director of the Milwaukee County EMS (Paramedic) System or designee, to provide advanced life support services to the general public at approved events. Under the supervision of the Educational Coordinator, to assist in the initial and State-mandated continuing education of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic; to respond to the site of the medical emergency when dispatched; to perform appropriate patient assessment as detailed in the Standards of Care Manual of the Milwaukee County EMS (Paramedic) System; to provide appropriate emergency medical care; to document patient care events; to prepare equipment and supplies for use on the next response; to supervise trainees enrolled in the Milwaukee County Paramedic Training Center in clinical experience areas; to evaluate the progress of students assigned to his/her supervision; to assist in the evaluation process of trainees enrolled in the Milwaukee County Paramedic Training Center; and to perform such other duties as may be assigned.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds up and/or down two (2) flights of stairs.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Successful completion of a state certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Program or its equivalent (determined by the Department of Health and Family Services, Emergency Medical Services Section of the State of Wisconsin); possession of State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure.
- Experience: One year in prehospital or emergency medical care or its equivalent. Teaching experience in medically related education desirable.

$35,979.00 - $40,274.00 Annually
