About the Role

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the clean‑up and preparation for transportation of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste. The role includes loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, completing inspections of equipment, hoses, and connections, and performing confined‑space entry.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment—including pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools—in accordance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and all applicable laws.
• Handle, package, and transport both hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
• Remove materials from tanks, pits, or trenches with hand tools for industrial and environmental cleanup.
• Work in confined spaces above or below ground and on or under equipment.
• Perform daily confined‑space entry, mechanics, industrial‑hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, hand tools, and other tools as needed.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
• Act as a professional representative of Reworld while working autonomously at customer sites.
• Comply with OSHA health and safety rules and complete required training provided by Reworld.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to travel 10‑25% of the time, including overnight travel.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, lift/carry up to 50 lb, work from heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualified to wear a full‑face respirator.
• Ability to work consistently in various weather conditions.

Pay

The pay range for the primary location of this position is $18.85 – $25.05 USD per hour. Final compensation will consider experience, education, geographic location, skills, travel requirements, and other factors.
