About the Role
Responsible for achieving sales budgets and providing an exceptional shopping experience to every customer through established company guidelines concerning sales, customer service, and staff training and development.
Responsibilities
- Drive, teach, and adhere to the P’s of retail (People, Product, Price, Purchasing, Position, Presentation, Promotion, and Pro Services).
- Engage customers and provide a quality shopping experience; ensure store associates deliver excellent customer service.
- Strategically merchandise and follow company guidelines for merchandising practices.
- Ensure store presentation standards are achieved and maintained.
- Guarantee safety and security of customers and employees by following loss prevention and risk management procedures.
- Support, model, and enhance seamless customer service by creating a friendly, helpful, and efficient environment.
- Serve as Key Carrier Manager (KCM) or Manager on Duty as required.
- Conduct weekly competitive shops.
- Communicate pricing and/or inventory issues to the senior team.
- Analyze and act on business reports to optimize merchandising, in-stock position, and pricing (e.g., Profit & Loss statements, Category Performance Report, Business Analysis Tool Report, Store Purchase Order Analysis Report, Store Price Change Report).
- Utilize computer and point-of-sale systems for accurate inventory, cycle counts, and profit and loss management, including shipping and receiving.
- Ensure brand and operating standards meet or exceed expectations to support brand consistency.
- Interface with corporate headquarters employees.
- Ensure maximum scheduling coverage during peak traffic periods.
- Review and assess associate performance on a timely basis.
- Train, develop, supervise, and define workloads for store associates.
- Monitor associate retention and career development; communicate improvement efforts to the Chief Executive Merchant.
- Address and document unsatisfactory performance and policy violations through disciplinary action and performance counseling.
- Ensure compliance with scheduling, hiring, payroll, and business planning processes.
- Monitor, maintain, and follow company policies and systems.
- Assist the Chief Executive Merchant with store-level human resources or loss prevention issues as necessary.
- Available to open and/or close the store effectively.
Requirements
- Three to five years of retail management experience with proven ability to direct operations.
- Ability to perform in a high-volume, highly complex location.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-starter capabilities.
- Proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in a fast-paced environment, adapting to change with urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company’s overall market share.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
- Physical Work: Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Frequently required to use hands and fingers, stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Pickup Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
